- I have the best Mum in the world
- I'm tough enough to survive the things life has thrown at me
- I have a good brain and learnt how to use it
- I have been able to recognise some of the life changing opportunities that have crossed my path
- I was taught to knit as a child (thanks Mum)
- I was allowed to spend my pocket money on the Busy Needles partwork magazine
- I got over my fear of the sewing machine and started quilting
- I discovered how much social media has to offer (there is more to it than porn and nastiness)
- I joined the London Modern Quilt Guild
- I went back to school at the age of 40.
Musing on my love of crafting, especially my newly discovered obsession with patchwork and quilting and whatever other randomness takes my fancy.

Great list. Loving the pocket money insight into your childhood too!
Good on you Shevvy
Great list!
Very good list! Mums are great aren't they x
I love your list Shevvy. We all have much to be thankful for.
I have a terrific Mum too.
yep, we should go for a day of thanksgiving as well
UK culture too focussed on moaning ( although I am particulary talented in that area)
