There is a new exhibition at the Victoria and Albert museum (which I think is the best one in the world!) and it is all about quilts!

I haven't been yet, but I've done some shopping from the online shop. They have an exclusive set of fabrics produced by Libertys just for the show and I bought all of them in 3 fat quarter sets as well as some yardage of my favourite. I also got the book to go with it. The idea is that when I do get to see it in person I won't be too tempted to buy too much!
ps. for some annoying reason the photo with the book keeps importing upside down!

The reason your photo appears upside is because
Blogger loves to mess with our sanity. :^)
I have Kaffe Fasset's book with his quilts taken from his inspiration from Victoria & Albert
Beautiful stuff.

Agreed. Blogger likes to throw technical hitches in as a test of patience. My challenge is that messes with my text layour frequently.
I love books about the history of quilting. But then I love vintage or antique quilts. I just took a peek at the website link which is amazingly well set up and informative.
Good to hear you survived your first week back at work. It's always a bit of a shock to the system after an absence isnt it?
Those fabrics look wonderful - even upside down! I am getting ready to look at the site, but will be keeping my wallet on the other side of the room. Can't wait to see what you do with the material!
